A simple snow day

That Jack Frost thing? It continues to prove true.

Yesterday our office was closed thanks to about a foot of snow (!), so I worked from home and made this video of the day. It was just a simple day at home…and that’s the kind I like best.

Especially when accompanied by a foot of snow.

I’ve been trying to come up with adequate and eloquent things to say about moving tomorrow after a 500+ day detour at home, but the words have left the building. It’s like word thieves snuck into my brain, took all the good ones, and sold them off for parts to Scrabble and Wheel of Fortune.

I remember sitting on a picnic bench eating ice cream with my good friends Chris and Lauren right before I moved out of Rochester last year. I had come to terms with the fact that I wasn’t going to get a job in the next 24 hours and needed to move home for an undetermined amount of time. Chris asked me how long I thought I’d be there before I found a job and moved again? I said I thought that if I was still there by the time the holidays arrived, that would be a really long time.
