What I Love : December
Here’s December’s roundup:
The Gift of Healing: One of the most special gifts you can give!
Dara Maclean: I know we already talked about this, but I’ve probably listened to the CD about a thousand times since then so it bears repeating. If you want music that will speak straight to your heart, you need to listen to this CD on repeat. They are all my favorites, but my favorite favorites are Our Only Hope, Love Is, Blameless, You Are All I Need, Made, Find Rest, and Only Grace. (I know that’s half the CD. I can’t help it! I just love it all so much!!!)
Trader Joe’s Candy Cane Green Tea: Surprisingly, I probably drink more tea than coffee. True story. And right now the flavor of the month is Candy Cane Green Tea. Close second: White Christmas by Stash.
Trader Joe’s Chocolate Passport: Let me just preface this double Trader Joe’s appearance by saying that I’m actually showing restraint; I could fill the whole list with Joe’s from top to bottom. But this passport is a worthy addition for chocolate lovers everywhere! It’s single origin dark chocolate from all over the world…and it’s fantastic.
Emma Magazine: The first thing you need to know about Emma, “a how-to guide for the modern domestic,” is that the website is gorgeous. The second thing you need to know is that the December issue of the magazine is equally gorgeous. You’ll feel extra yuletide-y as soon as you see the cover!
Barre 3: This is a tad premature. I haven’t actually used the Barre 3 online workouts yet. I know. Shameful. But my friend Mackenzie is a Pure Barre enthusiast and suggested I try Barre 3 as an online option for a barre workout…and within minutes I was in love with the website and the whole concept! Winter workout, I think we’ve just found each other.
Haagen Dazs Peanut Butter Pie Ice Cream: All I can say is that with the help of two friends, I ate two pints in two days. It’s that good.
Talenti Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Gelato: Because I don’t want to look like Santa for Christmas, this is a nice “lighter” option.
Christmas Magic: I mean, is there anything better than sitting beneath a big tree under a fluffy blanket with a big cup of
ice cream tea? I don’t think so.
Christmas Movies: I am an equal opportunity employer when it comes to Christmas movies. Hallmark? ABC Family? Classics? I love them all. (And I really love to stop the especially cheesy ones 5-minutes in and see if I can nail the rest of the plot. Or make up my own and tie it in.)
Skillshare: Skillshare is awesome. If you want to want to learn how to do pretty much anything design/photography/creative based, Skillshare is probably offering a class that will suit your needs. I’m taking an Intro to Photoshop class right now! Because I’m finally learning Photoshop!!! I’m so excited.
The True Party: I love, love, love how The Jesus Storybook Bible phrases the Christmas story: “It had taken centuries for God’s people to be ready, but now the time had come for the best part of God’s plan. God himself was going to come. Not to punish his people – but to rescue them. God was getting ready to wipe away every tear from every eye. And the true party was just about to begin.”
*Honorable mention goes to the featured photo of Albino Reindeer. You can imagine the freak out that ensued when I saw them. Actually you really can imagine it, since the one on the right is looking at me like, “Dude. Chill.” And the one on the left is avoiding eye contact at all costs. I don’t blame him.
What are you all loving this month?
