What do you come here to read?

What do you come here to read?

I haven’t been able to keep up with many blogs lately, but one I always love catching up on is Annapolis & Company.

These thoughts on writing from Mary Beth’s 2014 Word post jumped off the page at me:
”The thing about writing is, you have to steady your heart and be in touch with your mind and soul to come up with anything anyone wants to read. And when you’re off doing a million different projects, you can forget it. That’s what I learned the hard way this past year.”
Preach, sister.

This season is understandably and gratefully busy – new job, moving, holidays, the height of football season, all the freelance things – but I’m looking forward to clearing a path for some space to write in once normalcy returns. I think using this verse as a perspective-shifter will help a lot: Better one handful with tranquillity than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind (Ecclesiastes 4:6).

While I’m still in the midst of transition, would you mind answering this question for me?

What do you all want to read about in this space? It’s taken many different turns over the years, so I’d be really curious to hear your thoughts. What kind of posts do you come here to read, and what would you like to read more or less of? Please feel free to post any thoughts you have in the comments, or if you’d rather email me, that’s completely fine too.

Either way, I’ll be so looking forward to hearing what you have to say.

 • Beka – honestly, I come here to read anything and everything you write. I especially like your inspiring devotional-like posts where you connect Scripture to events in your life. However, I also absolutely love reading about your crazy adventures as it’s my way of keeping up on your life :) love your writing and you!
